About Me​
My name is Ayda Sow and I am currently a Senior at Liberty High School in Frisco, Texas. With being apart of the Independent Study and Mentorship Program (ISM) this school year, I will be pursuing, an extreme passion of mine, the field of Socal Entrepreneurship.
Outside of ISM, I am involved in several other curricular and extracurricular activities. As for some in school activities, I am National Honors Society President, One Thread President, Chinese Culture Club Vice President, and compete in Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) and in Business Professionals of America (BPA). On the weekends, I adore working at Pink Couch Music Studios as a Beginner Piano Teacher as well as volunteering at Hua Hsing Chinese School where I teach Elementary Phonics. I also thoroughly enjoy playing the piano, writing music, cooking, baking, dancing, and finding new, amazing places to eat.
Adventurous at heart and a perfectionist at mind, I am ready to face the coming challenges head-on and to exemplify my best self and mentality at every task.
Mission Statement
Through the Independent Study Mentorship program at Liberty High School, I strive to gain valuable experiences in the professional world, improve my public speaking and networking skills as well as deepen my current understanding and passion about the field of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Human Resources. As I work with my mentor, I hope to learn how to operate and create a successful business. To apply this knowledge, I hope to build One Thread into a future nonprofit organization in which involves high school students in the process of transforming donated fabric materials into quilts for donation to public shelters. Knowing the uniqueness of this ISM program, I will take this opportunity with wholeheartedness and my utmost passion to expand the limits of my capabilities. Adventurous at heart, I am ready to face my journey throughout the ISM program, transform myself into a confident, young professional, and ultimately, to make my mark on the world.
