Throughout the last week, I officially completed my 2018-2019 ISM Final Product.
With the past week involving the “wrapping up” of my final product for the second semester of ISM, I have, in a way, flashed back to the beginning of the year, to reflect on my overall journey and experience of ISM. Seeing that my ISM Final Product was submitted today, it has been an incredible experience and journey to see myself standing at this position as compared to my beginning of the year hardships. I have grown so much as a person, as a student, and as a friend, becoming more well-rounded academically as well as improved my soft skills. I have become more comfortable with speaking in front of professionals and am less afraid to convey my ideas and opinions to other people.
As for One Thread, ISM has pushed me to develop innovative ideas for the club and the organization. The production of One Thread events and fundraising ideas that fostered from the ISM program is definitely something that I hope to continue as the success and overall outcome of the events have been substantial to promoting One Thread’s missions and values. The traditions I hope to bring forth next year are because of what I have created now, and thus I am thankful. The work I have done along my ISM journey acts as a solid foundation for my future in One Thread and outside of developing the nonprofit. I have gained so much and am excited to continue to learn and grow academically and mentally.
Therefore, as this week comes, I will be approaching all situations thankful and grateful for what the ISM Program has provided me.
