Throughout the last week, I reminded myself to broaden my view of my life and mental health.

Lately, I have been extremely busy due to an abundance of extracurricular activities and school work I am involved in. As a good reminder, through visiting Mrs. Holmes last Wednesday, we partially discussed the “Wellness Wheel”. The wheel encompasses categories of emotional, physical, social/cultural, intellectual, spiritual, financial, occupational, and environmental. To keep me in check, Mrs. Holmes and I went through each category and where I stood within them. As it was a good way to let myself know my condition in regards to mental health, from this process, it reminded me to check in with myself more. It let me know not only how I was performing that day but what it gave me clarity of my performance of my daily, routine life, as well as how my current performance will impact others in my daily life. As a learned lesson, I am beginning to check in with myself more often, reminding myself to reflect on how I am and how I can grow to be a better and mentally-healthier person.

For the club One Thread in Liberty High, we actually moved the beginning of our redecorating process to this upcoming meeting. Thus, I will be looking forward to it! In addition, the quilts are still up and running as I continue to keep sewing them!

In conclusion, as the spring semester continues to come, I am extremely excited to learn more about social entrepreneurship and future develop One Thread into a nonprofit!
