Throughout the past week, I learned the importance of properly establishing an official domain for the organization I want to create, One Thread.

With visiting Mrs. Holmes last Thursday, during our mentor meeting, we primarily focused the steps to building a nonprofit, emphasizing the significance of producing a well-runned, organized, and professional website. As the organization’s website acts as a storefront for the organization’s customers to go to and refer to for further information, the website must be a top priority for organizations to properly manage. We walked through potential domain names as well as a variety of website hosting companies One Thread could purchase a domain from. In addition, we discussed different website names and the value of having ‘.org’ as the ending for One Thread’s official website. For example, potential One Thread website names of being ‘onethread.org’ or ‘1thread.org’.

For the club One Thread in Liberty High, we recently got it approved that One Thread is able to redecorate the bulletin board in the history hallway. Thus, we will be beginning the decorating process in the next couple of weeks’ meetings

In conclusion, as the January is ending, I foresee more events coming into action. I hope that the next few weeks with redecorating the bulletin board will run smoothly as well as further transitioning One Thread into a real, official non profit.
