This past week in my ISM journey included my participation in finishing my original work.
Because my original work included various components including the One Thread nonprofit organization bylaws, several One Thread Board of Directors job postings, and One Thread marketing materials, last week's wrapping up of the original work was strenuous yet exciting as well. Although, throughout the creation of my original work during this first semester of my second year in the ISM Program, I realized that the help of a mentor, especially with establishing a company's foundational documents, would have been really helpful in directing me to what One Thread needed the most. Having consultations and advise that directly serviced One Thread, One Thread's business plan, and what I would like One Thread to become in the future, would have made me lack the questioning thoughts of, do I need to include this sections? Am I supposed to include extra articles in relation to my business plan? What corporate structure would best suit the One Thread company and the One Thread missions.
To conclude, my original work taught me that I needed to continue to grow my knowledge and be unforgiving in asking professionals for assistance. Therefore, I will continue to search for other professionals willing to mentor me during the next semester.
