Throughout the last week, I centered my focus on making progress with little progress.
Within the last week, I met up with a variety of professionals who have given me great advice in regards to how I can better start my own nonprofit. Specifically, I interviewed with past ISM Alumni, Kaushiki Roy and Ellie Meinershagen, in which are also current young entrepreneurs. With their meetings, I have gained insight on balancing school life as well as keeping up with the responsibilities as a professional in entrepreneurship.
Although in ISM I have completed several in-person and phone interviews, my progress with
One Thread has been little. I have been trying to finish sewing the quilts, and though it is coming along, it is being sewn rather slowly. In addition, I just fell behind on the progress of transitioning One Thread into a nonprofit of its own. As my interview with Mrs. Bryan, CEO of nonprofit, Compassion for Philippines, gave me a contact with a nonprofit that guides other to-be nonprofits through the registration process, I will need to contact such nonprofit shortly. I have also been preparing social media postings for One Thread’s Instagram and am thinking about making promotional videos for One Thread as well. Therefore, I am still waiting for One Thread meetings to officially begin this Thursday to start filming and gathering content to post!
As this week, will be another week of events, I will need to make the most out of what I have prepared for and just keep marching forward.
