Meeting and Being

Throughout the last week, I centered my focus on establishing connections and planned interviews to attend.

As I was looking for professionals to contact on LinkedIn, I noticed that the more professionals I connected with and the more information I was reading about them, I began to understand what kinds of entrepreneurs I preferred to talk to. Because I am a young entrepreneur looking to start my own nonprofit, One Thread, while still being in high school, I would like to talk to not only nonprofit entrepreneurs but more specifically students in high school how have registered their nonprofit organizations and are continuing to pursue entrepreneurship or business. In addition, I would like to stray away from interviewing founders of law firms oro financial consulting firms because I wish to create a nonprofit organization rather than a firm. I feel that the organization and preparation behind the creation of nonprofits and other organizations is a bit different for me to apply the knowledge I learn from founders of such firms to creating One Thread into a nonprofit organization. Therefore, I am looking for people that have started their own nonprofit organizations targeting global causes.

I also met up with Mrs. Lind, and we discussed the job descriptions I have created. Thus, I am now creating an ad to promote the One Thread board and attract people to the cause. Hopefully, as I finish up the job descriptions and the ad for social media, I will be able to establish a board of directors that are devoted and passionate about the One Thread cause.

For the One Thread club, the One Thread officer team and I have decided to participate in Liberty High School’s Club Fair event to promote One Thread amongst our student body as well as are preparing for One Thread’s first meeting on the 26th. Actually, last Friday had been a small One Thread meeting supposed to welcome back last year’s One Thread members however, I say many new faces.

Therefore, as this week will mainly consist of meeting up with professionals and really trying to expand my knowledge of nonprofits and entrepreneurship, I am excited to meet everyone and learn from them!
