Throughout the last week, I understood how to be more orderly in creating spreadsheets.

With being assigned to plan a gala, award ceremony event with Mrs. Holmes by Mrs. Holmes, I have been busy helping her arrange guests and create invitation emails for the guests invited. For such preparations, using Excel, specifically Google Sheets, was crucial to establishing easy and efficient planning. In addition, as One Thread has been using Google Sheets to not only sort and record the One Thread members that attend each meeting but also budgeting, Google Sheets has provided me with a variety of uses and is thus extremely useful and helpful. Therefore, with the planning of the award ceremony, because prior to this planning, I have only used Google Sheets or Excel programs for budgeting or recording data, using Google Sheets to track and sort data for invitation and event planning is roughly new to me. Therefore, as I have been mainly focused on the event planning this past week, I have gotten to be more familiar with the program in regards to creating a habit of pressing “Ctrl-Enter” and color coding columns to manage hundreds of information in an orderly fashion.

As for One Thread, I have decided to extend the square, cross stitching event further a week as I prepare for the club shirt embroidering come post-spring break. I have also decided on hosting a fundraiser activity with a club meeting designated for people to come and give donations as well as the last One Thread event being to create friendship bracelets for One Thread to sell for donations. Although, much is yet to be confirmed with the One Thread officer team.

Therefore, as the next week comes, I am excited to notify and contact the One Thread officer team of such events and finalize more for the One Thread nonprofit!
