Throughout the last week, I practiced the valuing of presence.

Last week, although I did not have a mentor visit, I was still able to practice and cultivate myself though valuing the presence of everything around me. Focusing on One Thread’s past meeting, there were only two other members that could attend, yet I let go off feeling disappointed and enjoyed the meeting nonetheless. I think that this letting go of negative energy I have been learning to do is gradually building up and implementing a relaxed mindset has become easier and easier.

During the meeting, we began our first meeting doing activities in regards to decorating the bulletin board. This includes “embroidering” plastic mesh with yarn to create pictures of environmentally friendly items such as the elimination of trash, recycling signs, endangered or harmed animals, or other things that resemble a sustainable lifestyle. With now implementing the process of creating these yarn-sewn plastic tiles, I have realized that creating each tile is more time costly than I have planned, so to solve this problem, I decided to elongate the number of One Thread meetings dedicated to decorating the bulletin board. In addition, this way, we can then also promote this One Thread event more, hoping it will attract a broader audience as well as recruit additional members to the organization.

In conclusion, with continuing to work on the redecorating process, I hope to see mass progress in creating the elements supposedly going on the board and more member involvement.
