Through the last few days, the essential quality of being patience was re-enforced.

Last week, many of the professionals I reached out to, in regards to mentorships and internships, were all extremely busy with their own schedules. Although it was not unexpected for them to be occupied, I feel as a result of the absence of connecting with them was a very slow and less productive of a week. Therefore, to combat the lack of effective work, I have made a list of tasks to do when I encounter this feeling. This list includes: researching differences between various kinds of organizations in the social entrepreneurship field, working more on my original work, creating more ideas for One Thread and its process, etc. I think that this list will continuously guide me in the right direction due to the fact that I have a habit of losing focus of different tasks when I have not organized my thoughts or have sorted the ideas of the task prior.

On the other hand, I have updated and revamped my resume, editing it to include the suggestions other professionals have given me. I also decided to completely redo my website because I was unsatisfied with how my original digital portfolio looked. Thus, I am in that process as of currently.

For One Thread, because we did have a pep rally, I did not expect to many people to come and to my expectation, only a few came. Though, with that meeting, I realized that even with the attendance of three still creates an impact and still pushes One Thread’s progress forward. Furthermore, the football season ended last week, so I expect an increase in One Thread meetings’ attendance.

All in all, the most significant takeaway for me from this past week learning to not only be patient but to always keep me occupied so that I am constantly motivated and moving along my journey in the social entrepreneurship field. Thus, I hope to continue pushing myself and promote One Thread for a more populated attendance!
