Over the last week, I concentrated on sewing the One Thread quilts and keeping up with the One Thread fundraiser One Thread will be hosting during the last week of April.
On Sunday, I sewed the squares that the club members cut up and sorted into the rows of the quilt. Then, I sewed the rows together and cut off the excess fabric pieces to create the quilts. Through the time I spent sewing the One Thread quilts, I noticed that we are going to complete around 4 quilts. Therefore, the One Thread club needs to cut more squares from the donated shirts and other fabric material as well as create more rows for me to sew.
In addition, because the One Thread fundraiser is being hosted in the cafeteria during late April, the members and I have been preparing the items we will be selling. These items for sale include the bracelets and scrunchies that we have been making. The profit made from this One Thread fundraiser will aid the One Thread organization profit. I project that we will earn around $100 this year as we raised almost $80 during last year’s fundraiser. Thus, we need to prepare more bracelets and scrunchies for the sale later this year.
