Smiling In and Out

From the last few days, I gained more knowledge in producing a guest list for events as well as maintaining positivity.

Because last week was students’ Thanksgiving break, I was able to catch up on making the list, including the research, of potential guests to an upcoming event for Queens and Future Queens. Due to the fact that they want to invite people who support other women, Mrs. Holmes also requests that the guests come from different fields and industries so that it not only promotes Queens and Future Queens in multiple communities, but it also helps provide a variety of role models for the girls partaking in Queens and Future Queens’ programs as well. Therefore, upon thinking of guest, I realized the mass variety of people in society and just how many various fields one could step in to. This realization only causes me to think about all the different types of people I could connect with later on and how important it is to not only know many people in your field or career path but other industries as well.

For One Thread, not many people came to the social last Friday most likely due to the fact that many people are with family on Friday, so it was expected for a smaller turnout. Yet, no worries, I am positively working on updating One Thread’s website. I decided that One Thread’s website might have to be transferred from a Weebly to a Wix for a more advanced look however the website link will look sightly messier.

For the upcoming week, I hope to finish my original work and my website. My updated website for my digital portfolio is almost complete, so I am extremely excited for that to be done. I also look forward to potentially going on my first mentor visit this Thursday, for I hope it all goes well!
