Since the beginning of the school year, I have been reaching out to a variety of professionals specializing in the Business and Entrepreneurship field.
Firstly, I met up with Mrs. Michelle Lind, a Senior Human Resource Manager at Toyota Connected at Legacy West. I actually got in touch with her through my last mentor, Mrs. Pauline Holmes, the President and CEO of the nonprofit organization, Queens and Future Queens. Mrs. Holmes thought it would be ideal for me to learn off of Mrs. Lind due to the fact that setting up an organization, like One Thread, requires understanding how to effectively manage a team and the knowledge for to fulfill the responsibilities as a leader of an organization.
Secondly, I conducted an interview with Mrs. Heidi Edwards, the founder of her own financial education program and fellow teacher. Through our online interview, we talked about the specific qualities of a true entrepreneur as well as her definition of entrepreneurship. After this interview, I gained insight into what a true entrepreneur entails, true sincerity in aiding other people.
As for One Thread, I have been leading my new officer team by preparing for the incoming school year. We have been discussing how to promote ourselves through Liberty High School's Club Fair event as well as throughout online platforms and media. In addition, because I am learning how to better manage a team with the guidance of Mrs. Lind, who may be my future mentor, I will apply my knowledge to the One Thread team.
Therefore, I hope that time year will lead to a great success and a great growth in knowledge as I will be working hard to ensure the fruition of One Thread and maximize the potientials of my second year in the ISM Program.
