The Upcoming Possibilities

Throughout the last week, I excited for the upcoming events and adjusting to last minute preparations!

Last week, I finished wrapping up the redecorating of the older Recycling Bulletin Board. I may be adding more on the bulletin board in the future to make the board more interactive, but for now, it will count as complete.

With next week being One Thread’s bracelet fundraiser, I am extremely excited to see how things will play out. As for the one-week prior to the event preparations, I will be creating small displays for the bracelets to rest on as they will be presented on the counselor's table at lunch. To do so, I will be decorating some toilet and paper towel rolls so that they look presentable and feed back into the reusing value of One Thread as well. In addition, I have recently created a SignUp Genius so that non members and One Thread members can volunteer in selling the bracelets during lunch. This way, we will also be getting more high school student involvement in the club activities. Moreover, I am in the process of making the flyer for the event. I plan to have them printed and hung up by Thursday to promote the fundraiser. Last week, on Friday, I completed my interview over One Thread for Liberty High School’s broadcast team, One Thread, and in the interview, I included dates in which we would be selling the bracelets to further promote the event!

The final preparation for the event besides needing to finish making the 120 bracelets, is make and print out small notes to hand out to the people who purchase a bracelet. I figure not only is this a special way to promote the event but also a great way to spread kindness and connection amongst our school body.

Therefore, as this week comes, I am looking forward to seeing how the One Thread everything turns out!
