Writing the Work

Over the last week, I wrote the agenda for the first meeting of the One Thread board of directors and began the articles of incorporation for the One Thread nonprofit organization.

After the first interview with my mentor, Mrs. Lind, she assigned me to send her an agenda and format of One Thread’s Board of Directors meeting minutes. Thus, I formatted the agenda for the meeting that included the order of our discussion from the self-introduction of each One Thread board of directors to the purpose and meaning of the One Thread nonprofit organization to the ending, assigning tasks to each individual director. Taking Mrs. Lind’s advice of including a section dedicated to assigning tasks to each director, I included such section as I also agree that it would be helpful as a reminder to solve the issues that are presented within the meeting as well as a set plan and direction for our directors to go towards.

In addition, I researched the articles of incorporation for nonprofit organizations and even found a temple that I can use for the One Thread articles of incorporation. Therefore, I have also been putting One Thread information into the designated format and editing it to match the One Thread bylaws formatting.

Throughout this next week, I am hoping to conduct the first One Thread board of directors meeting as well as going on my second mentor visit with Mrs. Lind.
